Remembrance Sunday 2018

Our Remembrance Service was held on Sunday 11th November 2018 in St Peter and St Paul’s Church at 10 am.
The service was conducted by the Revd Howard Pashley with Andrew Larner as organist. We were delighted to welcome members of the Worth Parish Council and villagers to join the congregation in remembering 100 years since the end of the First World War.

Refreshments were served in the church afterwards with thanks to Annie Simmons and Carol Attenborough for this. Then wreaths were taken to the War Memorial where we were joined by villagers and Trustees from the St Peter and St Paul Preservation Trust.

After two minutes silence at 11 am., wreaths and crosses were laid, the names of the fallen of Worth were read out and Revd Pashley dedicated the new plaque on the War Memorial.

Special thanks to Miriam Bull and Ian Martin of the Worth Parish Council for co-ordinating the dedication.
